Hold Z and press B(2), C-Right(2), C-Left(2) at the character selection screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Then, highlight the "?" box and press R.

Fight as Earthworm Jim:
Hold Z and press B, C-Left , C-Up , C-Right , C-Down , C-Up at the character selection screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Then, highlight the "?" box and press R.

Fight as High Five:
Hold Z and press C-Up, C-Down, C-Left, C-Right, B, A at the character selection screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Then, highlight the "?" box and press R. Note: High Five is the right hand of Dr. Kiln.

Fight as Sumo Santa:
Hold Z and press A, C-Right, A, C-Right, C-Down, C-Up at the character selection screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Then, highlight the "?" box and press R.

CPU control:
Hold L and press A(5), C-Up, C-Down, C-Left, C-Left, B, A, C-Right at the character selection screen.

Programmer's mode:
Hold L, press A, B, A, B, A, B, C-Left, C-Right, C-Up, C-Right, C-Left, C-Right at the character selection screen. This mode allows any character to be selected, and has an overhead view of each stage.

Alternate character color:
Highlight a fighter at the character selection screen and press C-Down.

Random character:
Press L + R at the character selection screen.
